President Sirleaf Attends Inaugural Ceremonies in Freetown

Monrovia, Liberia - President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf is among several distinguished personalities attending the inaugural ceremonies in Freetown of Sierra Leonean President, Ernest Bai Koroma.

The ceremonies taking place Thursday in the Sierra Leonean capital, Freetown, are being attended by several African and world leaders.

The President is being accompanied by a 13-member official delegation which includes the President Pro-Temp of the Liberian Senate, Isaac Nyenabo; Senators Roland Kaine, Lahai Lanssana, Isaac Johnson and Representative Edwin Juah; as well as Lofa County Superintendent, Galakpai Kortimai; and LBS Director-general Charles Snetter, among others.

The President and party return to the country later Thursday afternoon.

Koroma was elected President of Sierra Leone nearly two months ago, after being declared winner following parliamentary and presidential elections.
